I was going to get the cheaper model but EBgames told me they haven't see the low end model in months. The only cheaper unit you are going to get is the downgraded model without the extra memory ports, extra HD space and no Wifi.

I actually read in a news article that other parts of the globe are paying MORE for their PS3 systems then the USA is.

The UK is actually get PS3 units that handle the emulation of PS1 and PS2 games differently, a cheaper way and because of that, is causing a much bigger stir up with computable games then it is in the USA.īut a cheaper unit? haha no. People would be extremely pissed off.īut some of these rumors you hear are in fact correct. Sony not adding in play back compatibility would be like genocide. On the other side, I hear that there's a cheaper selling PS3 that isn't reverse-combatable, and the more expensive one does.įirst off, you don't have to own a PS3 to know how it works. By that, I just hear that the PS3 won't play PS1 and PS2 games. And while I don't really know anything about the PS3 itself, I consistently hear about its reverse-combatability. So what I was ASKING was, is there other ways to raise monsters in Monster Rancher 4 besides using disks for generation data. If I eject the disk from the PS3, the game will then tell me to put in a disk. What really happens is, I press X and the game says "Reading Disk." really quickly, like in a fraction of a section. The game is supposed to read the data from the disk and generate a monster from it. You say yes and the game ejects your CD, at this time, you put in a new CD or DVD and then press X. What happens is, I go to the Monster Shrine to generate a new monster, it asks me first if I want to do so and asks if it is ok to eject the disk. The game will then read the data on these disks and compile a monster for you to raise on your farm. You gain these monsters, by reading different cds, dvds and PSX games (PS1,PS2, ect).

The Monster Rancher series allows you to raise your own monsters to which you'll battle them in a arena. Monster Rancher 4 just has some sort of problem with the PS3. The copyright statement also has a different font.Playstation 3 plays both PS1 and PS2 games, if you thought it didn't someone must have hit you in the head with a brick making you a retard.Īnd for the most part, all of the PS1 and PS2 games I have played on my PS3 work just fine. The resolution is slightly higher in the US version. The background art in the title screen is zoomed in and focused on with a flare, removing the emblem on the right. STILL MODE stops the animation.ĬONFIG MODE can change the background used for the viewer. Start to switch to STILL MODE/AUTO PLAY.Triangle/Cross to increase/decrease ANIME NO.D-Pad to move camera around the screen.Select the model type IKUSEI (育成 Growth) or BATTLE.ĭisplays the 3D check screen after the load screen. When selecting "BORNFIRE", "CANDOL", "ICE", or "ICE DUMMY" on this menu, the viewer freezes. This menu can be controlled with the D-Pad, and pressing Circle switches the next page. This is the first screen upon booting the executable. To boot this program, you need to change the BOOT parameter in SYSTEM.CNF to load this executable instead. This is likely a filler track borrowed from another game.Ĭontained on the game's disc is a PS executable named ANM3DCHK.EXE, which would have allowed developers to see 3D animations. Track 2 of the CD contains this crazy techno music.
